Black Wolf Cabins/ Asheville log cabins are located in the Big Sandy Mush Community just north of Leicester, NC. Big Sandy Mush is rural farm community that has changed little over the last 150 years. The landscape is dotted with antique churches, family farms and unspoiled wilderness. There is a current movement in Big Sandy Mush to conserve this precious heritage and farmland through The Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy. So far, over 6,000 acres have been preserved and the Black Wolf Cabins/ Asheville log cabins are bordered by these conserved lands. The views from Black Wolf Cabins overlook the mountaintops and the natural balds of Big Sandy Mush, NC.
Within the Asheville/ Biltmore Estate area and our Asheville log cabins there are many things to do and see. You can visit the Biltmore House or attend our annual street fair Bele Chere that is held in July. There are excellent restaurants near our Asheville log cabins rentals for gourmet dining. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah Forest and the Appalachian Trail are also close to our Asheville log cabins rental for hiking, mountain biking, enjoy our many waterfalls, fall foliage, or enjoying the abundant wildlife for the hobbyist to photograph. There are great motorcycle and sports car driving roads. These include; Tail Of The Dragon at Deal's Gap (Highway US 129), Cherohala Skyway, Doggett Mountain (Highway US 63) and of course the Blue Ridge Parkway all located near our Asheville log cabins. They are also a great stepping off point for a ski trip to the local slopes such as; Wolf Laurel, Wolf Ridge, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain and Cataloochee.
